Scannr ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Scannr mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Full name (optional)
• Phone number (optional)
• Profile picture (optional)

1.2 Scan Data

When you use our scanning features, we collect:

• 3D room geometry (walls, doors, windows, dimensions)
• Object scan data
• Measurement data (distances, areas, volumes)
• Scan metadata (duration, device model, timestamps)

1.3 Device Information

We automatically collect:

• Device model and manufacturer
• Operating system and version
• Unique device identifiers for push notifications
• App version

1.4 Usage Information

With your consent, we collect analytics data including:

• Features used and frequency
• Scan completion rates
• Export formats selected
• Navigation patterns within the App

You can opt out of analytics collection in Settings > Privacy > Analytics.

1.5 Payment Information

We do not directly collect payment card information. Payments are processed by RevenueCat and the Apple App Store/Google Play Store. We receive:

• Subscription status (active, canceled, expired)
• Plan type (Free, Pro, Business, Team)
• Billing period and renewal dates

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the App
• Process your 3D scans and generate floor plans
• Sync your data across devices
• Send push notifications (with your permission)
• Process subscription payments
• Improve our services through analytics
• Respond to customer support requests
• Send transactional emails (workspace invites, bid deliveries)

3. Device Permissions

The App requires the following permissions:

Camera & LiDAR: Required for 3D scanning functionality. We use your device's camera and LiDAR sensor to capture room geometry and objects.

Photo Library: Required to save and access your scan files.

Face ID/Touch ID: Optional biometric authentication for app security. Biometric data is stored only on your device and never transmitted to our servers.

Push Notifications: Optional alerts for scan processing completion, sync status, and app updates.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in:

• MongoDB Atlas (user profiles, scan metadata, settings)
• Bunny CDN (3D scan files, exports, images)

We use industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
• Secure authentication via Clerk
• Role-based access controls for team workspaces

5. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following service providers:

• Clerk (Authentication): Manages user accounts and login sessions. Privacy Policy
• RevenueCat (Payments): Processes subscriptions and in-app purchases. Privacy Policy
• PostHog (Analytics): Collects anonymized usage analytics. Privacy Policy
• Expo (Notifications): Delivers push notifications. Privacy Policy
• Bunny CDN (Storage): Stores and delivers scan files. Privacy Policy
• Resend (Email): Sends transactional emails. Privacy Policy

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@getscannr.com.

Scan files are retained until you delete them or close your account. Deleted scans are permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data
• Export your scan data
• Opt out of analytics collection
• Withdraw consent for push notifications

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.
